Therapeutic Radiographer

This role offers an opportunity to be part of the dynamic radiotherapy team at UCLH. The post holder will undertake rotations between the photon and proton departments and will work across a wide range of areas including pre‑treatment, treatment preparation, the treatment units and brachytherapy.
Responsibilities include:
* Deliver radiotherapy treatments within both photon and proton services on complex, state‑of‑the‑art equipment, under the supervision of senior staff.
* Participate in all aspects of treatment planning and patient care on the treatment units and pre‑treatment suite on a rotational basis.
* Liaise with patients, relatives, carers, radiotherapy staff of all grades, students, trainees, multidisciplinary members, physics and engineering teams, clinical oncology staff, and external partners.
* Support specialist treatments such as brachytherapy, molecular radiotherapy, total body irradiation and IMRT.
Knowledge and Qualifications:
* BSc in therapeutic radiography or equivalent formal qualification.
* Health Profession Council (HPC) registration as a therapy radiographer.
Skills and Abilities:
* Explain the patient's journey through the radiotherapy department, detailing stages of simulation, planning, treatment and follow‑up.
* Be enthusiastic, motivated, and able to work collaboratively during times of change.
* Demonstrate knowledge of QA systems.
* Basic understanding of governance issues.
* Familiarity with departmental IT systems such as Epic and ARIA, and national data collection.

Salary: £38,488 to £46,852 a year per annum inclusive of HCAS.
