Who we are looking for
Glenshane Veterinary Clinic have an exciting opportunity for a Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly team based at their Maghera, Kilrea and Dungiven branches. This role would suit a Veterinary Surgeon looking to work in a mixed dairy-beef-sheep practice with a good case load of small animal work and a bit of equine work.
Our ideal candidate will be a confident Veterinary Surgeon with preferably experience in both farm and companion animal work. Newly/recent graduated Veterinary Surgeons are welcome to apply and will definitely be considered.

The standard full-time vet rota consists of a 40-hour week, working 1 weekend in 4 with a long weekend off in lieu the following week. There is an OOH requirement to work 1 night per week on call, in the winter months and 1 night per week every fortnight, in summer months. Although this is advertised as a full-time role, we are open to both full time and part time applications.
About Glenshane Vet Clinics
We are a 3-branch practice, in the middle of the Sperrin Mountains, with only 40 minutes’ drive from our stunning North Coast and Glens to our airports and from the hustle and bustle of Belfast or Derry city life. Two of our branches have a farm animal handling facility.
We have all the usual equipment in the main branch for both farm and small animal practice including easy scan/small animal ultrasound, laparoscope for farm, IDEXX lab station, microscope, Ovacte, x-ray, endoscope, ECG, kennelling/stabling facilities, small ruminant operating table, and a horse stock.
We have a team of 6 Veterinary Surgeons of which 4 have 20 years’+ experience. We have an enormously dedicated Veterinary Nursing team and Support team.
