The school is seeking a passionate and committed SEN Teacher to join their dedicated team. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with complex needs Teach students with needs including Autism (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), PMLD and communication needs Develop and review EHCP targets, ensuring progress is tracked effectively Use a range of communication strategies (e.g. visual aids, PECS, Makaton where appropriate) Support pupils with sensory needs and emotional regulation Manage behaviour using positive and proactive approaches Work closely with support staff, therapists and parents/carers Create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment The Ideal Candidate Holds QTS / QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification Experience working within a special school or SEN setting Strong understanding of ASC, SLD, PMLD and complex needs Confident supporting pupils with communication and sensory needs Patient, resilient and passionate about supporting vulnerable learners Strong teamwork and communication skills Desirable Experience using Makaton, PECS or AAC systems Knowledge of Team Teach or positive handling Experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment Timeplan Education are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people and expect all staff to show this commitment.
