Job Description:
Role: Waking Night Domiciliary Care Assistant
Hours: 21 hours per week
Salary: £12.87 per hour basic, plus enhancements for nights
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide and deliver comprehensive care including personal care and hygiene, maintaining independence and dignity.
* Support residents socially by encouraging interests and activities.
* Assist with health and well-being needs, including nutrition, medication, mobility, shopping, and appointments.
* Maintain resident care plans and documentation, adhering to regulatory standards like GDPR, CQC, HSE, and Local Authority policies.
* Build positive relationships with stakeholders internally and externally.
* Perform housekeeping and laundry duties as necessary.
Skills and Experience:
Communication:
* Ability to write notes/messages, and communicate effectively with individuals with varied communication needs.
* Encourage and influence others, follow instructions and procedures, use various communication methods.

* Analyze and evaluate information, adapt approach, structure tasks, troubleshoot, and escalate issues appropriately.
* Identify learning needs and suggest improvements to team processes.

* Ability to assist with personal care, proficient in IT (Microsoft packages).
* Care Certificate or willingness to obtain it; First Aid, Food Hygiene, Manual Handling certifications.
