Role Responsibilities
The role of Urban Designer is to strengthen the company’s image as a quality service provider of urban development, design and planning throughout the government, institutional, business and commercial sectors.
* Conduct urban design and GIS analysis and produce plans, graphics, and reports to support client decision making.
* Co-manage projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and management plans.
* Research and apply urban design and GIS knowledge to create context-driven solutions.
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on urban design projects.
* Pursue professional development and represent the company at industry events.
* Ensure quality assurance and clear communication with clients and project teams.
* Deliver project outcomes that meet or exceed client expectations.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
* Degree in Urban Design, Architecture, Planning, or a related field.
* Minimum 3+ years' experience in a similar role.
* Proficiency in MS Office, QGIS, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, QGIS and SketchUp (highly desirable).
* Effective communication capabilities for client relationships and team collaboration.
* Urban design, research, analysis and GIS skills to produce quality reports and plans.
* Knowledge of the WA planning framework and planning processes.
* Ability to manage projects, client relationships and support business growth.
