Role Overview:
Job description: We seek a Senior Aerodynamics Engineer (Thermal) to join our Silverstone facility. You will collaborate with engineers to develop aerodynamic thermal systems for our race cars, analyzing computational methods and innovating in design and development. We foster a culture of challenge and shared success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop aerodynamic cooling solutions for power unit, brakes, electronics, ensuring performance targets are met.
* Analyze CFD and wind tunnel data to enhance aerodynamic performance.
* Understand aerodynamic structures and behaviors around the race car.
* Coordinate with management to develop and communicate thermal aerodynamic plans.
* Innovate methods to improve design, testing, analysis, and reporting efficiency.
* Participate in collaborative discussions to improve performance, sharing ideas and feedback.
Requirements:
* Experience in a similar motorsport role.
* Proven track record in aero thermal management of powertrain, brakes, electronics, etc.
* Strong knowledge of numerical methods and fluid dynamics.
* Expertise in CFD thermal analysis and interpretation.
* Proficiency in 3D CAD software (preferably 3DExperience/CATIA).
* Experience managing development projects against targets.
* Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
* Ability to perform duties accurately and timely.
* Effective communication with stakeholders and directors.
* Clear verbal and email communication skills.
* Strong IT skills, including MS Office suite.
