About the role
A large higher ‑ education provider is seeking Assessment Support Officers to deliver operational and administrative support during peak assessment periods. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth delivery of online assessments for a global student cohort.
The post holder will provide frontline support to students during assessments, assist with assessment data processing, and support the wider registry and assessment operations. The role requires flexibility, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
Shift work may be required during busy assessment windows, including early starts or late finishes, due to global assessment schedules.
Key responsibilities
1. Provide first ‑ line live support for students undertaking online assessments via virtual learning platform
2. Support second ‑ line assessment processes, including late, iplete, or corrupted submissions
3. Assist with assessment data processing, including marks management, Boards of Examiners, and results release
4. Support invigilation processes and assist with suspected assessment offences
5. Work with student services teams on assessment ‑ related casework
6. Assist with the preparation and dispatch of transcripts and certificates
7. Support operational aspects of the marking process, including marker allocation and basic technical assistance
8. Maintain accurate records and handle confidential data in line with policies and procedures
9. Work flexibly across teams to support peak assessment cycles
Essential
10. Excellent attention to detail with strong data ‑ entry accuracy
11. Good IT skills, including proficiency withmon office systems
12. Strongmunication and interpersonal skills
13. Ability to managepeting deadlines and priorities effectively
14. Proactive and flexible approach to teamwork
15. Graduate ‑ level capability or equivalent professional experience
Desirable
16. Experience within education or higher education administration
17. Experience handling confidential or sensitive information
18. Familiarity with online assessment or virtual learning platforms
