Crown Corner Club, a successful and much loved after-school childcare service for pupils of Crown Primary School, requires a new club manager who can help the club's children develop and flourish. About the Role
As the After School Club Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our after-school club. Reporting to a supportive committee of parents, you'll work closely with children, staff, and parents to ensure a safe, fun, and stimulating environment for primary school-aged children. Your role will be a combination of direct childcare, staff management, and administrative duties, with a strong emphasis on planning and maintaining high standards of care .

Hours:25 hours per week (flexible)
Key Responsibilities
Running the Club:
* Ensure a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for the children.
* Plan and lead fun, educational activities each day.
* Provide healthy snacks that meet nutritional guidelines.
* Lead by example, modelling high-quality interactions and play.
* Engage with parents, offering updates and ensuring communication remains strong.
* Manage children's medical needs, including allergies and healthcare plans.
* Plan & schedule activities for full-day holiday club sessions during school holidays
* Lead a close-knit team of 3 playworkers, ensuring that children are well supervised and supported.
* Manage and develop the club staff including training & performance management.
* Lead weekly team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
* Ensure efficient staff deployment throughout the day.
* Support new staff and provide mentoring to ensure high standards are upheld.
* Complete and update care and healthcare plans for children.
* Monitor and implement improvements to ensure the club continually meets high standards.
* Order club resources and manage inventory.
* Complete staff timesheets and payroll tasks.
* Ensure compliance with the regulator’s quality framework and work towards maintaining high-quality standards.
* Promote & market the club’s services. Manage enquiries. Enroll new members
About You
We are looking for an organised manager who has the following qualifications and attributes:
Experience:
* Previous experience in a childcare setting (after-school club, nursery, or school) or a related field such as teaching.
* Experience in managing or leading a team, such as in a manager or room lead role.
Qualifications:
* Manager-level qualification, such as a BA or PDA level 9 in Childhood Practice (or working towards it as it is a SSSC requirement).
