About the Role
Join the School of International Studies, which is growing rapidly, to strengthen our new International Public Policy Programme. The successful candidate will start in August 2026 and will be responsible for teaching, research and contributing to the broader educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in International Public Policy, Public Policy, Public and Comparative Administration, Public Ethics, and related subjects.
* Teach survey and experiential courses, and support broader teaching within International Studies.
* Conduct high‑quality research in Public and Social Policy or Public Administration with a record or potential for publishing and securing research funding.
* Generate new intellectual knowledge and apply research findings to teaching and programme development.
* Advance the School and university research agendas, including active participation in the Center for Advanced International Studies, Sino‑European Key Lab, and Sustainable Development priorities.
* Take part in administrative duties, represent the School externally, and support student experience initiatives.
Required Qualifications
* Completed PhD in Social and/or Public Policy, Public Administration, or a related field by the start date.
* Evidence of teaching ability in international public policy and related subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
* Strong research record with the capacity for publication and grant acquisition, especially in quantitative research methods, policy analysis, implementation, evaluation, health policy, or data science.
* Experience or willingness to develop experiential and career‑focused learning pedagogy.
* Experience in PhD supervision is an advantage.

Remuneration, Benefits & Support
The role is a fixed‑term contract of up to five years, extendable by mutual agreement. It offers a competitive salary within the stated range and includes accommodation allowance, insurance, schooling support, home flight, relocation and repatriation assistance, and paid annual leave.
