OVERVIEW:
- Manage a varied caseload of criminal defence matters
- Attend police stations and represent clients at the Magistrates' Court
- Assist with Crown Court cases where appropriate
- Participate in the duty rota, including out of hours work
- Work closely with experienced colleagues on case preparation
- Deliver high quality, timely and robust legal advice to clients
- Qualified Solicitor with current Duty Accreditation (essential)
- Experience handling criminal matters (during training or post:qualification)
- Confident attending police stations and representing clients at the Magistrates' Court
- Strong advocacy skills and ability to work effectively under pressure
- Commitment to excellent client care and professional standards
- Willing to participate in the out of hours duty rota
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach
- Well established practice with a strong reputation in criminal defence
