MOT Technician (Class 4 & 7) Heavy Mechanical Work Included

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
We are looking for an experienced and reliable MOT Technician (Class 4 & 7) to join our busy and growing workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who not only holds a valid MOT testing licence but is also confident carrying out major mechanical repairs .
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct MOT tests to DVSA standards on Class 4 and Class 7 vehicles
* Carry out vehicle inspections and identify mechanical faults
* Complete a wide range of repairs including:
o Gearbox replacements and repairs
o Wet belt replacements
o Clutch replacements
o General servicing and mechanical work
* Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard
* Maintain accurate job records and MOT documentation
* Follow health & safety procedures and workshop best practices
Working Hours
* Monday Thursday: 08:00 17:30
* Friday: 08:00 16:15
* Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Requirements
* Valid Class 4 & 7 MOT Tester licence
* Minimum Level 3 Qualification (or equivalent)
* Proven experience in heavy mechanical repairs (gearboxes, clutches, wet belts essential)
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Full UK driving licence
* Good time management and attention to detail
