Are you an experienced Platform and Micro-lift Installer looking for your next challenge? Stannah is seeking a Lift Installer to join our Platform and Micr-lifts division.
We are looking for a Lead Installer based in the Midlands, M1, M4, or surrounding areas. The role involves installing and commissioning various lift models, ensuring high quality and safety standards. While the preferred location is Midlands, travel across the UK is expected.
You will be responsible for on-site installations, liaising with builders, conducting risk assessments, and training Trainee Installers, passing on your expertise.
Lift Installer Job Responsibilities
1. Install and commission lifts according to company standards.
2. Conduct site safety checks, risk assessments, and liaise with site agents.
3. Assist with unloading and installing lift components, including erection of structures, wiring, and fitting doors.
4. Complete documentation and handovers, ensuring work meets quality standards.
5. Perform basic electrical fault-finding, testing, and commissioning of lifts.
6. Train Fitter’s Mates and Trainee Installers on-site.
Lift Installer Job Requirements
1. Proven experience installing platform lifts or similar products.
2. Ability to work independently and supervise others.
3. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
4. Basic supervisory skills and commitment to customer service.
5. Willingness to train and mentor junior team members.
6. Flexibility with working hours and locations.
7. NVQ Level 2 in Platform Installations.
