Environmental Advisor – Water Planning Team Location: Bangor Rate: £19.54 per hour Assignment length: Minimum 2 months Working Pattern You will be required to attend the Bangor office twice per week for the first two weeks for training. Following this, the role will be primarily remote with occasional office attendance as required We are currently recruiting for an Environmental Advisor to join our client’s organisation on a short-term project in Bangor. As part of the Water Planning team, you will provide expert insight by reviewing and analysing complex environmental reports. The Role You will be responsible for reviewing a portfolio of 11 technical reports focused on shellfish populations across the Menai Straits and Colwyn Bay area. This is not just a review role, you will be expected to fully understand the content, challenge findings where appropriate, and provide well-reasoned solutions and recommendations. You will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and quality of the data being used, offering expert insight and clear justification for any conclusions you make. Key Responsibilities Review, interpret and critically analyse 11 detailed environmental reports Assess findings relating to shellfish data and marine environments Identify errors, inconsistencies, or questionable conclusions Challenge findings where necessary and explain your reasoning Develop and present informed solutions and recommendations Act as an advisor to the Water Planning team About You PhD or degree in a relevant scientific field such as Marine Biology, Geography, Biology, or Geology Strong analytic and problem-solving skills Experience reviewing technical or scientific documentation Confident interpreting complex environmental data Able to clearly communicate findings and justify decisions if interested Apply today Call (phone number removed) or email (url removed)
