Skills for Care is entering an exciting new phase. As part of our new corporate strategy, we are strengthening and expanding our commercial offer over the next five years to better support the adult social care sector. We are looking for a commercially minded Proposition Manager who is keen to apply their experience in a purpose-driven organisation and make a real difference to the sector.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong commercial background – whether in commercial proposition development, consulting, or strategy – who is motivated by the opportunity to bring those skills into a charity environment where the impact is tangible.
As Proposition Manager, you'll play a central role in shaping how new ideas become viable, valuable offers for the market. You'll bring structure, commercial thinking and customer insight to decisions about what Skills for Care develops, grows, evolves or stops. Your focus will be on the commercial design of propositions: understanding customer needs, defining value, shaping pricing and commercial models, and building robust business cases. Working with colleagues across the organisation, you'll help ensure that what we bring to market is commercially viable, clearly positioned, and aligned with customer value and organisational priorities.

Responsibilities
* Shape how new ideas become viable, valuable offers for the market by applying structure, commercial thinking and customer insights.
* Lead the commercial design of propositions, including understanding customer needs, defining value, and shaping pricing and commercial models.
* Build robust business cases and work with colleagues across the organisation to ensure market propositions are commercially viable, clearly positioned, and aligned with customer value and organisational priorities.
* Collaborate across teams to turn ideas into clear propositions and support evidence-based investment and growth decisions.
Qualifications and Experience
* Strong commercial background in commercial proposition development, consulting, or strategy.
* Experience applying commercial thinking to strategy, insight and delivery in a charity or social impact context (desired).
* Ability to translate customer needs into viable propositions, pricing and business cases.
