* We are seeking a Director of Governance, Risk and Regulatory Compliance to lead a critical portfolio that underpins our organisation’s integrity and success. This is a high-impact role, shaping policy, steering regulatory engagement, and ensuring assurance at scale.
What you’ll lead
o Governance & Company Secretariat
o Risk & Compliance
o Legal Services
o Regulatory Assurance
You will manage senior leaders across these functions, oversee a multimillion-pound budget, and act as a key advisor to our Executive and Group Boards.
Day-to-day, you will
o Champion regulatory excellence and board assurance
o Lead strategic servicing of Boards and Committees
o Oversee legal services and compliance frameworks
o Drive risk culture and corporate assurance
o Influence policy, ethics, and data protection
o Represent the organisation to regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders
What you’ll bring
o Senior leadership experience in governance, legal, risk, or compliance
o Proven track record with Boards, regulators, and complex portfolios
o Deep knowledge of UK housing regulation, company law, and assurance frameworks
o A collaborative, inclusive leadership style that inspires high-performing teams
o Ideally Chartered Governance Professional (CGIUKI) or equivalent
