Our client is seeking a skilled and efficient MET Technician to join a leading accident repair centre. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a state-of-the-art body shop, repairing damaged vehicles in line with manufacturer specifications using the latest equipment and repair techniques.
Key Requirements
Completed a recognised apprenticeship as an MET Strip Fitter / MET Technician
Holds a relevant technical qualification (NVQ / ATA / IMI / SVQ or equivalent)
Proven experience working as an MET Technician within a busy body shop environment
Strong team player with a self-motivated approach and the drive to achieve bonus hours
Ability to work to the highest standards with up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair methods
Diagnostic training and experience
Key Responsibilities
Work efficiently within a fast-paced accident repair centre
Strip, repair, and refit mechanical, electrical, and trim components
Carry out detailed inspections to accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve vehicle system issues
Ensure all repairs are completed in line with manufacturer specifications and customer expectations
Perform quality checks to ensure repairs meet industry and safety standards
Collaborate effectively with colleagues to maintain an efficient workflow
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all work undertaken
Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures

Sociable working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Overtime available on Saturdays
