Care Assistant - Supporting a lady in her own home - Various roles available - 15 or 35 hours a wee or a casual contract - all training provided - supporting 1 client Are you an experienced care assistant looking to make a real difference in someone's life? We have an opportunity for a friendly care assistant to join one of our small, supportive teams in the Wombourne area. This is a varied but really rewarding role where no two days are the same! You'll be supporting our client with a degenerative muscular condition to live as independently and individually as possible, both in her home and in the community. Your support might involve clinical care tasks, heading out for activities together, or even just enjoying a trip to the shops! Our small teams of Personal Assistants provide bespoke, person centered care to really make a difference in our clients lives. Youll only be working with one client which enables you to truly get to know them and make a meaningful difference each day. *You will support our client outside of the home to access the community in their wheelchair so a full clean driving licence is needed. You will be required to drive the client's Wheelchair accessible Vehicle. *You will be working as part of a small team, on both a 1:1 & 2:1 basis. The hours: Your contracted hours will be: 15 or 35 hours per week OR a casual contract Shifts between the hours of 8am-10pm and will be a combination of the following on a rolling rota: 8am-10am 8am-1.30pm 12.30pm-6.30pm 5.30pm-10pm 8.45pm-10pm In return Salvere Support offers: £ 13.21 per hour A DBS paid for by us. Full induction and ongoing support Bespoke clinical training sessions Additional pay for each online training course completed Overtime opportunities Pension Contributions Who we are looking for: You should be proactive, organised and able to arrange the day's activities with our client without direction. You must be self motivated, reliable and an excellent team player. As well as being a naturally caring and compassionate person, were seeking Care / Support workers with experience of: All aspects of personal care Moving and handling including hoisting Meal preparation of freshly cooked gluten free meals / assistance with feeding Medication preparation and assistance Housework including cleaning, housework, maintenance and some gardening Companionship (incl. conversations, watching TV, games/hobbies) Supporting with administrative tasks, shopping and organisation of visits Supporting clients to attend outside activities/appointments in a wheelchair You should also have: Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness All training is provided and will consist of e-learning courses, face-to-face sessions, practical training, clinical training and competencies. The training is bespoke to the client and fully comprehensive for meeting their needs. We also provide refresher training on a regular basis, to keep your knowledge and skills current.
