CAD TechnicianWe are seeking a motivated CAD Technician to join our design team. This role is ideal for candidates with 2D CAD experience and for trainees looking to develop a career in technical drawing and BIM workflows. 3D or Revit experience is not required - open to trainee applicants.Key responsibilities- Produce and revise accurate 2D technical drawings and drafting documentation- Translate sketches, site information and engineering details into CAD format- Follow drawing standards and layer management procedures- Support engineers and designers with drawing updates and revisions- Prepare drawing packs for issue and coordinate document control- Learn and adopt 3D modelling/BIM tools as required (training provided)Skills and experience- Basic proficiency with 2D CAD software - autoCAD users- Strong attention to detail and good numeracy- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team- Willingness to learn new software and techniques (Revit/3D training available)- Relevant technical qualification or demonstrable practical experience advantageous but not requiredWhat we offer- Structured on-the-job training and mentoring- Clear progression path into 3D/BIM roles- A supportive team environment and varied project work- Competitive salary and benefits package
