Responsibilities / Tasks
* Execute and/or supervise all activities and tests related to the commissioning of GEA.
* Analyze test results and provide recommendations for improvements or corrective actions.
* Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and norms while defining GEA-specific standards.
* Diagnose and resolve system issues during commissioning to ensure smooth transition to operational status.
* Review test and commissioning protocols developed by GEA and submitted by manufacturers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
* Ensure all commissioning-related tests, reports, and checklists align with the commissioning plan.
* Coordinate with mechanical and electrical subcontractors to ensure seamless execution of refrigeration plant commissioning within the agreed timeframe.
* Maintain effective communication with the client as required.
* Identify components impacting the commissioning process and review related documentation.
* Verify availability of equipment, safety gear, and utilities required for testing and commissioning.
* Address warranty issues and conduct plant walkthroughs to observe operational conditions.
* Ensure SCADA monitoring and alarms are properly configured for analysis.
Your Profile / Qualifications
* Engineering or technical qualification in industrial refrigeration, with certifications in Ammonia and CO₂.
* Practical experience and in-depth knowledge of commissioning industrial refrigeration systems.
* Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams, P&ID, and understanding control descriptions.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Willingness to travel frequently across the UK and Ireland, and work away from home as needed.
* Open to career development for time-served engineers in commissioning.
