Contract: Full time – Permanent

Location: Pyms Lane, Crewe, CW1 3PL with flexible hybrid working

Purpose of the Role

Join the Chief Executive and Strategy team as a Government Relations Manager, where you'll manage Bentley’s policy and government relations activity, and play a pivotal role in driving the company’s advocacy efforts in support of our strategic objectives and Beyond100+ sustainability ambitions. Reporting into the Director of Government Relations and Sustainable Luxury, your main responsibilities include:

* Developing external policy positions on topics, including trade, sustainability, investment and skills.
* Monitoring and analysing UK, regional, and European policy developments, and providing actionable insight to the business.
* Managing and chairing the cross-functional Automotive Technical Legislation Alignment Session (ATLAS).
* Collaborating with many internal teams to align government affairs strategies with business objectives.
* Managing external stakeholder mapping and analysis.
* Managing agency relationships to create materials and enhance Bentley’s government relations insights.
* Managing VIP visits and key external events.
* Preparing and delivering presentations, reports, and other communications to internal and external audiences.

About The Team

The Government Relations and Sustainable Luxury team is at the heart of Bentley’s engagement with political stakeholders and policy makers, ensuring that our strategy aligns with the fast-evolving regulatory and political landscape. We work cross-functionally to support all business areas, helping shape the environment in which Bentley operates. We play a critical role in delivering Bentley’s Beyond100+ vision, advocating for a sustainable, innovative, and competitive future. About You – Skills And Experience

* Extensive knowledge of the UK political process and landscape, with experience of analysing policy development and its impact.
* Strong understanding of automotive policy and legislation.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience representing organisations in external settings.
* Ability to work across multiple projects and functions, prioritising effectively and delivering aligned policy outcomes.
* Competence in creating external policy materials, presentations and speeches.
* Managing agency relationships.
* Self starter with ability to work independently and as part of a great team – strong interpersonal skills.
* Solutions orientated.
