Our client is continuing to expand its Tax Consultancy team and is seeking a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager to play a key role in reviewing complex work, mentoring staff, and delivering high-quality advisory solutions. This position offers a clear pathway to Manager level and beyond, within a supportive and ambitious environment.
The Role: Corporate Tax Assistant Manager
You will operate as a key member of the tax team, bridging the gap between Senior and Manager level, with responsibilities spanning technical review, client delivery, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Review complex corporation tax computations and returns prepared by junior staff
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring and training to Tax Assistants and Seniors
- Oversee portfolio management, including work in progress, billing and recoveries
- Support the delivery of corporate tax advisory projects and planning work
- Liaise with clients, HMRC and internal stakeholders to ensure excellent service delivery
- Identify tax planning opportunities and support Partners in delivering solutions
- Contribute to team development and recruitment, including graduate intake programmes
About You
We are seeking a highly capable Corporate Tax professional with strong technical expertise and emerging leadership skills.
Essential Requirements
- CTA qualified (or equivalent)
- 3–6+ years’ UK Practice experience in Corporate Tax (compliance and advisory)
- Strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax legislation
- Proven experience reviewing work and supporting junior staff development
- Ability to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
Desirable Skills
- Experience using Alphatax software
- Exposure to complex advisory work and tax planning projects
- Experience delivering technical training sessions
