My clients are a very well-established manufacturing company based in Tameside. We are now looking for them a Purchase Ledger Clerk.
Monday to Friday 35 hours per week 9-5pm with 1 hour lunch
Starting salary £27,876k
4% pension
20 days annual leave (rising by one day each year over 5 calendar years of service)

Main Purpose of the Role:
1. To support the Company’s Finance department, Company Accountant and Financial Controller. To be responsible for the full purchase ledger process, from purchase orders through to invoices, payments and reconciliation.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
2. Matching, checking, coding invoices and delivery notes, making payments. Processing expenses & credit cards.
3. Maintaining supplier accounts, supplier statement reconciliations.
4. Foreign currency calculations.
5. Review an aged creditor listing weekly and maintaining correct balances. GRNI reconciliation.
6. Dealing with purchase order stock call off’s and price queries.
7. Posting of deposit/ prepayment invoices for call off orders.
8. Prepare and post inter-company journals, ensuring all figures are agreed by agreed deadlines.
9. Project work – New ERP system implementation.
10. Supplier expenditure analysis, reporting and reconciliation.
11. Deferred duty document collation.
12. Ad hoc duties.
Essential Criteria:
13. Polite & professional telephone manner.
14. Experience of working within a team.
15. Experience working within a similar role.
Desirable Criteria:
16. Working in foreign currency.
17. Experience of working with an ERP system.
18. Basic Excel proficiency.
