Job Title: ECT Maths Teacher
Location: Middlesbrough
Pay Rate: £150 - £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Daily Supply | Long-Term
GSL Education is seeking a passionate Early Career Teacher (ECT) in Maths to join a welcoming secondary school in Middlesbrough. This role offers a supportive environment with induction programmes and mentorship opportunities.
About the Role:
Teach Key Stage 3 and 4 Maths with engaging lessons, collaborating with senior staff, and benefiting from tailored guidance during your ECT programme.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Maths lessons aligned with the national curriculum
* Inspire students to develop analytical and problem-solving skills
* Assess and report on student progress
* Create an inclusive classroom environment
* Collaborate with staff, parents, and leadership
* Participate in CPD and induction programs
Requirements:
* QTS or working towards QTS within the ECT framework
* Degree in Mathematics or related field
* Strong classroom management skills
* Experience teaching secondary Maths
* Positive attitude and willingness to develop
* Up-to-date CV with references from last 10 years
* Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
