Job Title: Contracts Manager - Light Gauge Steel & Steel Framing Systems
Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid - Site, Office & Home-Based)
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 (depending on experience) + benefits
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the delivery of projects involving light gauge steel (LGS) and steel framing systems. Based in Edinburgh, this is a hybrid role combining time across project sites, office, and home working. You will manage multiple projects from pre‑construction through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate multiple LGS and steel framing projects across Scotland and the wider UK
* Oversee project programmes, budgets, and resource allocation
* Liaise with clients, main contractors, design teams, and internal departments
* Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies
* Monitor project progress and provide regular reports to senior management
* Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle
* Lead site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve project objectives
* Support tendering and pre‑construction activities where required
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager (or similar role) within construction
* Strong background in light gauge steel, SFS, or offsite construction systems
* Excellent knowledge of construction processes, project management, and H&S regulations
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Full UK driving licence
