3. Pay Rate: £14.50 - £18.00 Per hour
4. Shifts: Full Time & Part Time | Nights | 10pm – 8am | Monday – Sunday

The Role
We are looking for kind, reliable Healthcare Assistants to join a dedicated care team supporting a young boy living at home with his family in Skelmersdale.
This is an overnight role where you will ensure he remains safe, comfortable, and settled throughout the night in the familiarity of his own home.
He enjoys:

6. Listening to music and nursery rhymes
7. Creative play
8. Spending time with other children at nursery
At the start of your shift, he will usually already be asleep. Your role will focus on monitoring his wellbeing overnight and providing care and reassurance if he wakes.
During the night, you will support with:
9. Monitoring his safety and wellbeing
10. Repositioning and mobility support when required
11. Personal care if needed
12. Settling and reassurance if he wakes
You will help maintain a safe and calm environment while his family rest.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate, attentive individual who is confident working overnight and making a real difference to a child and their family.
Key Responsibilities
13. Providing high-quality, person-centred care

15. Supporting with personal care respectfully and with dignity
16. Administering medication as required
17. Assisting with Moving & Handling
18. Supporting repositioning and mobility needs
19. Responding promptly if the child wakes
20. Maintaining a safe and calm environment
21. Ventilation management
22. Seizure management
23. PEG feeding
What We’re Looking For
24. Minimum 3 months’ care experience
25. Confident with medication, personal care, and Moving & Handling
26. Clear and effective communication skills
27. Comfortable working with children
28. Pet friendly
29. Reliability for night shifts

Our funded training (including clinical skills) is provided free of charge; however, attendance is unpaid.
