Lancashire Hospitals Services (Pharmacy) Ltd is delighted to be able to offer multiple vacancies for Bank Pharmacy Assistant/Dispensers to come and join our fantastic team. The role is varied with opportunities to work in all three of our branches covering a range of tasks.
Ideally you will have pharmacy experience in that you are a qualified dispenser or currently studying pharmacy at university. The team here are friendly, helpful and by all working together, we deliver a service that we are proud of.
Shift times are 8.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
It is expected that candidates must commit to at least two/three shifts per week (Monday to Friday) for a period of six weeks to enable training to take place.
You will need to be enthusiastic, motivated and demonstrate a desire towards developing our services.

Main duties of the job On a day to day basis, your duties will vary and help provide a high quality service to our patients whether this be provided customer service, dispensing medicines or ordering and receiving pharmacy stock.
You will also develop positive working relationships with our fantastic colleagues and multidisciplinary team and be a valued member of the company.
About us Lancashire Hospitals Services (Pharmacy) Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. We provide the NHS Trust with the outpatient dispensing service at Royal Preston Hospital, Rosemere Centre (within Royal Preston Hospital) and Chorley and South Ribble District General Hospital.

Job responsibilities Delivery of a safe and effective pharmacy service
Accurately dispense prescriptions in a timely manner
Supporting the counter
Use EMIS pharmacy stock control and patient medication record system
Contribute to stock management Stock Ordering, putting away, counts and rotation
Comply with Standard Operating Procedures
Offer suggestions to improve working processes
Maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues, health professionals and patients
Maintain legal and professional standards
Observe confidentiality requirements
Contributing towards the delivery of company KPIs
Person Specification Knowledge and Experience Experience of working in a team
Knowledge of stock control systems
Good telephone/communication skills
Knowledge of health and safety
Experience of working in pharmacy
Experience of working in a customer facing role
Experience of working in a busy environment
Qualifications & Education 2 GCSE Passes Grade C or above (or equivalent) must include Maths and English
