Key Responsibilities That Matter
Technical Leadership
* Define HVAC-related processes including BMS, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and ancillary systems
* Provide expert advice on specifications, safety standards, and regulatory compliance
* Review and validate technical solutions from BMS reviews, PPMs, and major projects
Asset Excellence
* Maintain comprehensive HVAC asset registers and support strategic asset management
* Conduct deep-dive audits to resolve performance issues and drive continuous improvement
* Monitor compliance and maintain live risk registers to ensure operational safety
Strategic Collaboration
* Work closely with Supply Chain Managers and Service Delivery teams
* Support Capital and Major Projects with technical expertise
* Analyse performance data to identify improvement opportunities and cost efficiencies
Essential Experience
* Proven expertise
with HVAC systems across large, complex estates
* Deep knowledge
of HVAC legislation, safety standards, and compliance requirements
* Asset management excellence
with experience in PPM schedules (e.g., SFG20)
* Senior-level experience
in facilities management and technical compliance
* Stakeholder influence
with ability to resolve complex technical challenges
* CAFM systems proficiency
and cost-effective compliance solutions
* Leadership capabilities
with strong communication and mentorship skills
Desirable Qualifications
* HNC/HND in HVAC Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Building Services
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent safety qualification
* Degree in Building Services, HVAC, or Mechanical Engineering
* Chartered membership of IMechE, CIBSE, or similar professional institution
