Our client is seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer to work within a small multidisciplinary design group. This group collaborates closely with our clients, requiring creative mechanical design solutions. Your key area of responsibility is the creation of accurate SolidWorks 3-D CAD designs, to meet the requirements specification of the customer.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Generate conceptual CAD models to meet customer requirements.
* Create detailed manufacturing drawings and instructions.
* Provide hands-on engineering support to production technicians for complex products and processes.
* Provide bespoke designs for fixtures to support manufacturing requirements.
* Liaise and collaborate with customer engineering and design teams.
What We’re Looking For:
* Educated to Degree level in a mechanical engineering discipline.
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in an engineering role requiring SolidWorks CAD skills (preferably 5 years).
* Strong Mechanical Design, Detailed Drawings and Tolerancing experience.
* Hands-on mechanical engineering and assembly background.
* Design of fixtures for accurate machining and assembly processes.
