<div><p>CT Radiographer Fixed Term Band 6 (Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available)</p><p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Radiographer to join our friendly, hardworking and well-established CT team at TRFT. We are seeking an enthusiastic, patient-focused Radiographer, preferably with CT experience; however, applications for a training post (Band 5) will be considered for the right candidate, with a structured development pathway to Band 6. This role is more than performing CT examinations. As a Band 6 CT Radiographer, you will deliver high-quality imaging whilst maintaining excellent standards of patient care, safety and experience. You will work in a busy acute environment, managing emergency, inpatient and outpatient examinations whilst responding to changing clinical demands. The post requires strong organisational, communication and decision-making skills, with the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment. Working closely with radiologists, clinicians and nursing staff, you will support a responsive service across specialties including Trauma, Surgery, Oncology, Stroke and Emergency Care. We operate Siemens Somatom Drive, Somatom AS+ 128-slice and Somatom Go 32-slice CT scanners. TRFT serves the local Rotherham population and surrounding communities. Informal visits are welcomed.</p><h3>Main duties of the job</h3><p>You will play a key role in the delivery of the CT service by: Performing a wide range of CT examinations in accordance with departmental protocols and professional standards. Managing and prioritising your workload to support the delivery of a safe, efficient and responsive service. Working across both CT sites, including the acute hospital and the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) at Badsley Moor Lane. Working collaboratively with radiologists, clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment. Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with departmental, Trust and professional requirements. Participating in quality assurance, audit and service improvement activities. Supporting the learning and development of students and colleagues where appropriate. The trust no longer supports HCSW band 3 roles with sponsorship</b></p><h3>Job responsibilities</h3><p>Please see attached the job description and person specification for the full details about the role and the responsibilities.</p><h3>Person Specification</h3><h3>Registration</h3><ul><li>Current HCPC Registration</li></ul><h3>Experience</h3><ul><li>Demonstrable experience as a radiographer Experience within CT</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Educated to degree level or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography</li><li>Trained in I.V. Cannulation and to inject contrast media</li><li>Anaphylaxis Training</li><li>Evidence of continual professional development</li><li>Completed rotations in specialties and experience of audit/research</li></ul><h3>Knowledge</h3><ul><li>Evidence of training in all radiographic techniques</li><li>Knowledge of professional standards in keeping with professional registration (e.g. HCPC)</li><li>Knowledge of basic computer skills</li><li>Knowledge of radiation protection, IR(ME) R2017, IRR 17 and radiographic protocols</li><li>To be able to work without direct supervision</li><li>Maintain a high degree of professionalism</li></ul><h3>Disclosure and Barring Service Check</h3><p>This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.</p></div>
