Multiskilled Engineer
Yolk Recruitment is working with one of the most well‑known manufacturers in Wales, a family‑owned business established for over 100 years. You will be part of a two‑person team managing a fully automated production line operating on a 4‑on/4‑off shift pattern (2 days/2 nights).
Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive electrical and mechanical support across all production lines to ensure smooth operation.
* Perform fault finding and repairs on both electrical and mechanical systems, utilizing expertise in PLCs (Allen Bradley and Siemens).
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maximise machine uptime and reliability.
* Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns, minimising production downtime.
* Collaborate with team leaders and other engineers to prioritise maintenance tasks and improve overall plant performance.
* Install, maintain, and repair machinery and site services equipment as required.
* Continuously monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements to optimise efficiency.
Qualifications
* Proven electrical and mechanical knowledge enabling support on all production lines.
* Proactive equipment testing, fault finding and repair skills.
* PLC fault finding and modification experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
* Demonstrable experience of working independently.
Benefits
Base salary up to £44 000, dependent on experience, with ample overtime opportunities. Current engineers earn upwards of £50 000 plus benefits. The company is experiencing sustained growth and offers future progression opportunities.
