We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Band 6 Nurse to join our rapidly expanding and dynamic Core Research Delivery team. In this role you will have the opportunity to maintain and develop all of your existing clinical skills within a research environment where you will be delivering the administration of investigational medicinal products, taking part in translational research and developing the set‑up of new trials. You will have the opportunity in working with the multidisciplinary team, looking at various specialities and expanding your knowledge, which in turn you will be able to provide the best possible care to your patients. Main duties of the job
As a Band 6 Nurse working within Research and Development you will have the opportunity to work in a nurse‑led environment and be expected to manage and lead on your own caseload of research projects which involve Commercial and non‑commercial trials. You will have the opportunity to maintain and develop existing clinical skills, such as but not limited to, phlebotomy, intravenous therapy, cannulation and central access devices. You will be working closely with Senior Clinicians and other multi‑disciplinary team members to implement and set up the delivery of trial protocols ensuring the highest quality of data collection, with a continued commitment to participant safety and welfare.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* * Registered level 1 Adult Nurse on the NMC register
* * Relevant degree or equivalent in nursing
* * Health care management / leadership qualification.
Experience
* * Professional portfolio which demonstrates continuing professional development, evidence of ability to maintain professional registration
* * Substantial post registration experience working in a complex health care setting /Acute NHS care setting supervising / mentoring junior staff
* * Evidence of professional /clinical knowledge in area supplemented by specialist clinical and or managerial training and CPD
* * Relevant and recent clinical experience within the speciality /acute care setting, including the supervision /education of junior staff
* * Experience of mentoring undergraduate students
* * Evidence of ability to lead /coordinate a shift /area of department
* * Experience in learning from incidents /complaints and supporting changes in practice
* * Evidence of Research knowledge
* * Experience of clinical trials/ studies/ research coordination
