Nursery and Junior School Assistant
Are you passionate about working with children and looking for a dynamic role in a vibrant school environment?
As a fixed term Nursery & Junior School Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the daily life of our junior school and nursery. We are currently seeking a dedicated and flexible individual to cover the late afternoon shift from 15.30pm to 18.00pm.
Working closely with our dedicated staff, you will share insights to ensure every child’s progress is monitored and supported. Effective communication with parents and carers will help build strong relationships and a cohesive approach to each child’s development. You will engage with children through a variety of activities that enhance their social and educational development. This includes setting up and clearing away materials and equipment for lessons and activities. You will help children develop independence and confidence.
Beyond the classroom, you will supervise pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and extra-curricular activities, and accompany children on school trips. Flexibility is key, as you may also assist with administrative tasks, meal supervision, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.
You will have a passion for Early Years education, promoting learning and development at every opportunity, and you must love working outdoors as we encourage outdoor learning, particularly through our wonderful Forest School. You will be full of imaginative ideas, bringing energy to every task with a patient and positive outlook.
