Teaching Assistant – Phonics Support (Blackpool FY4)

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Blackpool (FY4) who are seeking a Teaching Assistant to provide Phonics support across their EYFS and Key Stage 1 classrooms.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about early literacy and looking to make a real difference in children's education. The role is to start as soon as possible and may be on a full-time or part-time basis depending on the candidate’s availability.
About the role:
The successful candidate will work alongside class teachers to deliver targeted Phonics interventions, support small groups and individual pupils, and contribute to the development of early reading skills. Experience with Phonics schemes such as Read Write Inc., Letters and Sounds, or Little Wandle is highly desirable.
Ideal Candidate:
* Has recent experience supporting Phonics within a school setting
* Is confident working with early years and/or KS1 pupils
* Demonstrates a nurturing, patient, and encouraging manner
* Can work effectively as part of a team and independently
* Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS registered to the update service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
