Duties And Responsibilities Related To The Shift Technician Role
* Being responsible for carrying out any required engineering or maintenance tasks
* Repair of defects and the safe and efficient operation of the building, plant and equipment
* Performing repairs and maintenance in guest bedrooms, public and back of house areas, ensuring they are maintained to a high level and exceed guest expectations
* Regularly inspect the entire building with particular attention to safety features and to monitor the condition of all operating equipment
* Collecting and escorting contractors from their arrival points, bringing them to the engineering offices to sign-in and then taking them onward to their place of work
About You
You will have a strong understanding of general maintenance and engineering tasks in a hotel and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. A qualification in specialised areas such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing is beneficial. As you will have regular interaction with our guests, excellent communication skills are essential.
