As a Receptionist at Clatterbridge Private Clinic, you'll be the central point of contact for our patients and consultants, playing a key role in ensuring a smooth and supportive experience for everyone who walks through our doors. This is an administrative role, band 3, reporting to the Patient Services Lead and General Manager. What You'll Do Patient & Consultant Liaison: Be the friendly face and voice for our patients and consultants, offering support and guidance. Appointment Management: Contact patients to explain treatment processes, and expertly organise and schedule appointments. Service Excellence: Ensure consultants and patients receive an efficient, high-quality service. Insurance Coordination: Liaise with insurance companies to secure authorisation for patient treatments. Administrative Support: Update consultant diaries and amend appointments in our electronic patient record (EPR) system. Assist the back-office admin team with various daily tasks, including filing and delivering post. Prepare appointment letters for patients. Maintain accurate case note tracking. Prepare the clinic for the next day's appointments, ensuring notes, reports, and results are ready. Coordinate with clinical staff to prep consultation rooms and communicate chaperone requirements. Arrange transport for patients as needed. Assist Clinic Management with monthly board reports and track breakages/repairs. Handle ad-hoc tasks as required. Maintain Confidentiality: Uphold the highest standards of patient and clinic confidentiality at all times. Clinic Environment: Accountable for the daily setup and maintenance of the reception area, ensuring a clean, tidy, and safe clinic environment. You'll also be responsible for the safe use and cleanliness of non-clinical equipment. Flexibility: Be ready to adapt to the needs of a growing business, working across all clinic locations with notice. Essential: Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams. You'll need to demonstrate gained qualifications or experience in these. Proven experience interacting with members of the public. Qualifications to A-level standard or equivalent (e.g., BTEC, NVQ, International Baccalaureate) or an apprenticeship. GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English. Alternatively, 5 years of experience in a similar healthcare-based role. Desired (but not essential): Previous experience in private healthcare administration, including patient interaction. GCSE Science qualification.
