Application Engineer – Power Generation & Energy Systems
Location: UK – Hybrid / Field-Based

A market-leading energy solutions provider is looking to appoint an Application Engineer to support the design and delivery of complex on-site power and energy systems across the UK.
This is a highly technical, client-facing role where you will take ownership of system design from concept through to project handover. You’ll be central to winning work, protecting margins, and ensuring projects are technically sound from day one.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for the full technical development of power and energy projects including:
1. Designing and sizing CHP, generators, battery storage and hybrid energy systems
2. Analysing electrical load profiles, heat demand, fuel consumption, efficiency and carbon savings
3. Producing full technical proposals, schematics and supporting documentation
4. Providing front-end technical support to sales and business development teams
5. Attending site surveys and client meetings as the technical authority
6. Ensuring grid compliance (G99/G59), emissions, planning and regulatory standards are met
