As a Timber Frame Designer, you will be a key member of the team in designing a range of timber frame solutions, working closely with both the company's production team and some external suppliers, so BIM will also be an element of your work.
Your key responsibilities:
* Producing wall and floor panel designs, cutting lists and CNC files and generating BoMs and Take-offs
* Coordinating floor and roof supplier information
* Being on hand to give technical assistance to factory and site colleagues
* Providing technical advice to factory and site teams
Do you have:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in MMC/Offsite Construction design, ideally timber frame
* Good working knowledge of 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor) and ideally Mitek WoodEngine, Consultec, Wolf Horizon, hsbCAD or similar
* Proven understanding of the materials/components for the construction of low-rise buildings
* Ability to work with minimum supervision
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
Not essential but advantageous:
* Experience in steel detailing and/or I-Joist floor design experience
* Understanding of UK Building Regulations
* Qualification in Architectural Technology
