NPTC Group of Colleges' Business Development Unit was established in 2017 to provide services to individuals and employers beyond our full-time curriculum. Over the past 7 years, the department has grown significantly, administering approximately 300 courses annually for over 2000 learners from industry and those seeking to reskill or upskill. The unit is based in Neath, Newtown, and Brecon, with a team of Business Engagement Advisors supporting regional businesses. This role is initially based in Neath and involves arranging employer visits and identifying support opportunities from the College and partners.
Position Details
* Scale 5, Points 25-28, £31,001 - £33,385 per year (pro rata), equivalent to £15,500 - £16,692 annually.
* Part-time, 18.5 hours per week, including occasional evening, early morning, and weekend work.
* Working hours: Monday to Thursday, generally from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, with Wednesday until 3:00 pm.
* Permanent position.
About You
Ideally, you will have a Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline and relevant experience. Proven experience in a B2B or sales environment, working in target-driven roles, is essential. You should also hold a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (e.g., GCSE) and be IT literate to Level 2. The successful candidate will be organized, professional, engaging, and passionate about solving problems. You must be able to work independently and manage your diary to meet employer needs. The role primarily involves normal business hours, with some evening and weekend activities such as awards evenings and networking events.
