Our services operate 24/7, 365 days a year to ensure continuous support and care.
Due to the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic, our service has undergone significant changes. Successful candidates will play a key role in the expansion and enhancement of our services.
About the job
We are recruiting for a Senior Supported Accommodation Officer post within our Young Persons Accommodation Service.
The Senior Supported Accommodation Officer will be responsible for:
* Managing one or more buildings within the authorities Young Persons Supported Accommodation service.
* Accommodating young and complex service users in housing need, with a range of support needs and to manage Service budget and managing staff members, across a 24-hour period 365 days a year
* To contribute to the development of new accommodation and modify existing accommodation to increase available units.
* To actively contribute to the development of the whole section and homelessness Service
What We Are Looking For From You
This is an exciting opportunity, and we are seeking individuals from diverse backgrounds who are enthusiastic about making a difference. Proven experience working with young people with complex behaviours and an understanding of the issues faced by homeless individuals will be advantageous. We are looking for candidates with excellent communication skills who can inspire, enthuse, and assist young people in realising their potential and achieving independence.
The working environment can be challenging, so the ability to remain calm under pressure is beneficial. The successful candidate will also support the management team with all aspects of the service.
The ability to speak other languages, in particular Welsh, and Community Languages would be an advantage.
