We are currently recruiting for a Farmbench Manager on a full-time, permanent basis to work in the West Midlands and Wales region, supporting both the Cereal & Oilseeds and Beef & Lamb sectors. A full UK driving licence is required as regular travel is necessary across a number of regions, including Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire, as well as Wales.
This vital role promotes the Farmbench comparison tool, supporting the facilitation of farmer-to-farmer learning through group benchmarking meetings. Recruiting and retaining users in the region will be essential to ensure that accurate, industry representative benchmarking data sets are uploaded and validated.
We are looking for a highly personable individual, with specific knowledge of farming practices in the Cereal & Oilseeds and Beef & Lamb sectors and additional experience of working with physical and financial data recording systems and reporting.

Responsibilities
* Manage the delivery of AHDB’s Farmbench programme within the West Midlands and Wales to ensure the achievement of agreed targets for uptake
* Manage Farmbench activity and delivery on the ground, including recruiting and supporting farmers to gather and input data, interpreting reports and bringing groups of farmers together for facilitated learning
* Validate data sets collected by colleagues or consultants
* Liaise with regional levy-payer-facing staff in AHDB and external stakeholders in driving the uptake of Farmbench
* Achieve and maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail when handling data
* Feedback Farmbench improvement ideas or development requirements
* Assist with the training of third-party stakeholders and new team members as required
* Represent AHDB and promote Farmbench to industry
Essential Criteria
* Professional qualification in Agriculture/Economics or another numerate discipline, or equivalent experience with some knowledge of farming practices and inputs markets particularly in the Cereals & Oilseeds and Beef & Lamb sectors
* Knowledge of physical and financial data recording systems, including tax and management accounts, and of the main cost of production principles
* A skilled communicator able to speak with authority and write clearly and effectively
* Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word)
* Experience of working in a team, with the ability to work independently
* Good project management skills
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Full UK driving licence
