Overview
We are delighted to be working exclusively with a high-growth business in the SaaS/Technology sector, in their search for a Head of Legal.
The company is in a strong position, and on the back of a recent private equity takeover, they are now in an exciting growth phase. They are seeking an experienced commercial lawyer with a good understanding of complex commercial contracts negotiations, compliance & data matters, to lead on the business as usual commercial law matters and managing a small team.

You will report directly into the CEO, and get the chance to look at how legal operations are being run and design & implement more sophisticated and efficient ways of working, but the main focus of the role will be the business as usual, core commercial contracts.
The base salary is circa £130,000 with some attractive wider perks. The business operates a hybrid working policy and requires some office contact in the Crewe office.

Responsibilities
* Lead on business-as-usual, core commercial contracts and related legal matters.
* Manage a small legal team, including junior lawyers and compliance professionals.
* Advise on complex commercial contracts negotiations, compliance and data matters.
* Collaborate with the CEO and senior stakeholders to shape and improve legal operations and processes.
Role options
* a) A senior commercial lawyer seeking a step up into a Head of Legal role, responsible for leading on the business as usual, core commercial contracts, stakeholder management, and team leadership.
* b) A lawyer already operating at Head of Legal level who wants a more dynamic growth environment.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Experience in the SaaS/Technology sector and/or a customer-facing/sales-oriented business.
* Proven ability to manage complex commercial contracts negotiations, with strong compliance and data matters understanding.
* Experience leading a small team and engaging with senior stakeholders.
