Job summary: To assemble and manage vaccine stock for delivery across CTM UHB. In addition, there will be a need to manage and assemble stock for wholesale customers and to process controlled drug requisitions. All assembling and dispensing work is checked.
To participate in the ward-based medicines management service, assessing patients' own medicines, and organizing supplies.
To support the Pharmacy Logistics Service in providing safe, effective, and efficient pharmacy purchasing and distribution services including vaccination services and wholesale dealership of prescription medication.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity for a Band 3 Assistant Technical Officer has become available to join the pharmacy team across Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. The post holder will be expected to travel across sites including spending time in Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda.
Our ATOs are valued members of the Pharmacy team, and this role is an opportunity to develop further to support the Pharmacy staff working in all areas of Pharmacy. You will gain experience across a variety of specialties, working closely with Technicians and Pharmacists to deliver a high-quality, patient-focused medicines management service.
You must possess excellent communication and organizational skills in order to provide an efficient and safe pharmacy service including the vaccination service and WDA contract.

Applicants must have or be willing to work towards an NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Service skills / Pharmaceutical Sciences. English and Mathematics GCSE to a level C or above is essential.
