Description Supported Assistant Practitioner/Assistant Practitioner| 8144 | Permanent contract | £ 16,476 to £17,873 per annum (Scale F) | 22 hours per week | Attleborough Enterprise & Community Centre We are seeking an enthusiastic community Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join our highly motivated, innovative team of Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Assistant Practitioners in Southern Older People/Physical Disabilities Team. Our team is experienced with working with complex cases, have a sound knowledge of the Care Act (2014), Mental Capacity Act (2005) and Safeguarding, as well as excellent time management and IT skills. Any new staff are supported to develop a thorough working knowledge of Norfolk County Council processes and procedures, with monitoring and guidance from our NIPE team (Norfolk Institute for Practice Excellence). Covering South Norfolk, our team of Social Workers, Assistant Practitioners and Occupational Therapists use the Care Act (2014) to assess and provide support to adults living in the community. We are investing in people who can take us forward on our journey to embed our vision. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner within this team, you will undertake preventative, functional assessments based on people's occupational performance. These will be carried out via video/telephone and/or face to face. You will have excellent communication, record-keeping and keyboard skills, along with experience of working with vulnerable people. In addition, you should have a commitment to excellent customer service and be familiar with the Departments' eligibility criteria. South Norfolk is ideally positioned to access road and rail links to London and the North. All our office-based roles are hybrid working with an expectation of 3 days in a collaborative space. Your main office base can be either County Hall in Norwich, Dereham Hospital. or Attleborough Community Hub depending on where you live.
