Senior Business Analyst & Business Analyst (KW13587) - Bath, BA2 7AYWe are seeking experienced Business Analysts at both Business Analyst and Senior Business Analyst level to join the Strategic Projects Office within the PPSC. These roles that play a critical part in shaping and delivering highâpriority strategic programmes and projects that support the University’s Strategy.Whether operating at practitioner level or providing strategic leadership, you will apply strong business analysis expertise to help the University make informed decisions, realise benefits, manage risk and deliver sustainable change.The RolesAs part of the Business Analysis team, you will work closely with stakeholders across the University to support the scoping, analysis and delivery of portfolio programmes and projects. Your work will inform effective governance, effective allocation of resources, comprehensive risk management and robust benefits realisation.Both roles will, in the first instance, support highâpriority strategic programmes of related initiatives that require further discovery work to identify solutions that generate efficiencies and create organisational capacity.Business Analyst – Grade 7 (12 Months FTC) £38,784 - £46,049At Grade 7, you will:Work as part of the business analysis team to support discovery and analysis across a range of university functions.Apply established business analysis techniques to understand business needs, map processes and explore options.Engage with and influence a wide range of stakeholders to gather insight and support effective decisionâmaking.Contribute analysis that underpins successful programme and project delivery, assurance and benefits realisation.Senior Business Analyst – Grade 8 (Permanent) £47,389 - £56,535At Grade 8, you will play a strategic leadership role and will:Engage directly with University Executive Board members who sponsor strategic projects, as well as senior project leads and Project Board members.Lead business analysis activity within complex strategic programmes, establishing clarity, shaping options and making evidenceâbased recommendations.Translate institutional strategy into practical, deliverable outcomes.Advise senior leaders on feasibility, impact, benefits and risk.Take responsibility for BA work planning and the quality of business analysis outputs across the programme.Mentor, support and advise less experienced Business Analysts within the PPSC to help build business analysis capability across the organisation.Support governance boards with highâquality analysis, insight and documentation.At the strategic level, the Senior Business Analyst is not only documenting requirements, but actively shaping universityâwide decisions and longâterm transformation initiatives.About YouTo succeed as a Business Analyst, you will:Have sound knowledge of business analysis methods and experience applying them within a large, complex organisation.Have skills and experience in business process mapping using appropriate tools and techniques.Be proficient at engaging with and influencing a range of stakeholders.Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a highâperforming team.To succeed as a Senior Business Analyst, you will:Bring credibility, resilience and expertise to lead business analysis activity within complex strategic projects.Have extensive experience of business process mapping and analytical techniques.Be highly proficient at engaging with and influencing stakeholders, including at senior leadership level.Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted working relationships across senior and operational teams.Be motivated to coach and mentor others and help build organisational capability.Be part of a team driving ambitious, institutionâwide change.
