Primary Care Pharmacy Technician – Band 4
Hours: 37 hours available (full time). 18 month fixed‑term or secondment position.
We have an exciting fixed‑term opportunity for an enthusiastic, GPhC‑registered pharmacy technician to undertake a dual role working within the Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership (ACHSCP).
Responsibilities
* Work alongside pharmacy colleagues to support delivery of the pharmacotherapy service outlined in the 2018 GMS Contract for Scotland on 3 days a week, including medication compliance reviews, addressing pharmaceutical queries such as shortages, medicine reconciliation, and medication management advice for patients and carers.
* Support prescribing efficiencies work in the City for the other 2 days, ensuring the best use of public funds in prescribing medicines.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Must be registered with the GPhC.
* Good communication, interpersonal and time‑management skills.
* Full driving licence and ability to use a car.
* Experience may be from primary, community, or hospital pharmacy background.
Schedule & Working Hours
Full‑time hours are currently 37 hours per week, reducing to 36 hours per week from 1st April 2026.
