Overview
A skilled Production Demand Scheduler is required to lead the planning function within a project-driven engineering environment. The role focuses on effective scheduling, material coordination, capacity planning, and ensuring timely delivery across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the planning team, ensuring effective communication with Operations, Projects, Engineering, Sales, and Procurement.
* Manage all Master Scheduling and integrate forecasts into the Master Production Schedule.
* Maintain and optimise MRP data, resolve engineering/receiving issues, and manage change orders.
* Monitor capacity and resource availability; update schedules to meet project demands.
* Oversee inventory levels, material kitting, and stock parameters.
* Provide regular schedule status updates and maintain planning dashboards/KPIs.
* Ensure accurate creation, maintenance, and closure of work orders.
* Support continuous improvement activities and ensure production orders meet time and cost targets.
Accountabilities
* Ownership of production schedules and workflow priorities.
* MRP/ERP system development and user support.
* Inventory control and reduction of excess stock.
* Delivery of accurate reporting, KPIs, and schedule adherence metrics.
Required Qualifications & Skills
* Technical, engineering, or business-related education.
* Strong MRP/ERP experience and ability to read engineering drawings.
* Advanced Excel skills.
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
* 5+ years’ planning/scheduling experience in engineering manufacturing, plus leadership experience.

* Project management training.
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or similar ERP systems
