Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management, stocking, and logistics. This position requires a proactive individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
* Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring accurate handling of materials.
* Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
* Manage inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track stock levels and locations.
* Perform picking and packing of orders with attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
* Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying quantities and condition of products.
* Maintain an organised warehouse environment by stocking shelves and ensuring proper storage of materials.
* Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.
* Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve operational efficiency.
Skills
* Must communicate in 1 of these languages Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi or Sri Lankan
* Proven experience in a warehouse setting is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with warehouse operations.
* Proficient in materials handling techniques, ensuring safe lifting practices for heavy items.
* Basic mechanical knowledge to assist in equipment maintenance is beneficial.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
