Job Description
Provide support to learners and teachers by undertaking a range of non-teaching duties, including classroom administration and practical tasks such as contributing to the preparation of teaching materials. These activities aim to assist with the promotion, delivery, and integration of the key objectives outlined in the Education Service Plan and the Community Plan.
Requirements
The duties of this post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member for Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, to undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update, before a formal offer of employment is made by East Ayrshire Council. PVG records are continually updated; any relevant information disclosed will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.
Responsibilities

This reference should be from an appropriate senior manager and not from a peer at the same level.

The Individual
This is a permanent, part-time, term-time position based at Hillside School (Barony Campus), Cumnock. The hours are 27.5 per week, scheduled at the line manager's discretion. The full-time annual salary ranges from £24,333 to £25,353, with the part-time, term-time salary between £16,398 and £17,085.
