As a Maintenance Operative, your main responsibilities would be:
* Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance work (carpentry, tiling, basic plumbing, basic electrical, guttering, decorating, plastering, kitchen and bathroom maintenance and more)
* Carry out fault finding and leak investigations
* Carry out repairs and/or additional work arising from examinations and investigations
* Comply with Health and Safety processes and responsibilities
* Complete reports and paperwork as required
* Oversee and work alongside the maintenance team of your site and the work carried out
* Stock-taking (where appropriate) and keep records of stock levels
* Ensure that plant rooms and other maintenance areas are kept tidy and equipment is checked on a regular basis. Faulty or broken equipment is to be reported and resolved through liaison with your Maintenance Manager
* Control and direct specialist sub-contractors at all times when they visit site
* Replace light switches, receptacles, light bulbs and fixtures
* Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
* Participate in regular, structured on-call system within the UK
* To be responsible for all keys and locks within the site
* Undertake painting duties where applicable
