We are looking for a highly motivated Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work for a leading manufacturer. Reporting directly to the Engineering Maintenance Manager you will be a key member of the site team ensuring the production facility is kept running to maximum efficiency and output. The Company Part of a growing international group, Industry sectors include construction, packaging, electrical & electronics, transport, leisure and healthcare. To remain at the forefront of its markets and as part of its customer led operational strategy, the business is investing and expanding its production capabilities. The site is operational 24/5 with weekends utilised for business needs and customer demand. Primary Role To ensure that all machines are maintained safely & efficiently in accordance with all relevant legislation and that the Company’s legal responsibilities in regard of equipment installation & maintenance are fully complied with. Participates in operational projects across the site. Carry out maintenance checks of equipment & day to day repairs, adjustments & improvements. To be responsible for carrying out Breakdown resolution, Planned Preventative Maintenance activities & working with the Lean ethos to ensure highest standards on machine condition. Liaises with the production team to ensure that business requirements are satisfied by making sure that activities are carried out promptly & correctly. Implements improvements within the operation. Core Responsibilities * Deal with machine breakdowns to ensure that the site can maximize throughput and meet customer demand. * Reactive, proactive and planned maintenance across a wide range of factory equipment to support plant uptime. * Maintaining site services and facilities. * Focuses on saving cost on maintenance work and contributes to cost reduction initiatives. * Plans and manages individual and team projects. * To ensure that Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards are adhered to including the requirements of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 Skills, Experience & Qualifications * Strong practical and legal knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering/maintenance Level 3 electrical engineering qualification or equivalent * Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment. * Knowledge of extrusion, mixing & blending machines is advantageous but not essential. * Know and can apply the techniques of Planned Preventative & Total Productive, Maintenance to improve machine condition, improve product quality and reduce downtime. * Good oral and written communication skills. * Welding qualification/experience preferred but not essential (MIG & Stick) * Able to read engineering drawings We are looking for a highly motivated Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work for a leading manufacturer.
